Job title: QC Civil & Structural Inspector

Location: Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield

Reports To:

QC Supervisor / QA/QC Manager

Job Objective:

Perform inspection and quality control activities on civil and structural works at oil & gas field sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect civil and structural works during construction to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Monitor and verify concrete works, formwork, rebar installation, and structural steel erection.
  • Witness and verify field tests (e.g., concrete slump, compressive strength tests, bolt torque tests).
  • Prepare inspection and test reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and maintain proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with construction and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and inspection test plans (ITP).
  • Verify that materials and workmanship meet project requirements and approved standards.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on inspection status and quality concerns.
  • Support QA/QC audits and facilitate corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to HSE and quality policies on site.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil and structural inspection, preferably in oil & gas projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, AWS, BS).
  • Experience in reviewing drawings, method statements, and inspection test plans.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC practices and procedures.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with HSE practices and site safety requirements.
