Job: Project Interface Engineer
Reports Directly to: Project Interface Lead / BL Execution Manager
Objectives :
• To have all Project Interfaces identified and registered
• To have interfaces defined in contracts with client and all suppliers (and SIA/consortium interfaces)
• Top have clear interfaces between packages and balance of plant construction
To control :
• schedule interfaces related to Free Issued Items to Package Vendors
• interfaces between workshop fabrication and site fabrication (piping/structural)
• interfaces with 3d party site activities
• scope of tie-ins (physical, schedule, scope) at OPF scope boundaries
Activities
Sale/Tender phase :
Define critical interfaces in Client Proposal and Supplier’s RFQ.
Construction Interface
• Identify/register schedule and scope interfaces / interfacing risks
• Define matrix of responsibilities in TR to suppliers
• Building and Packages interfaces
Equipment Interface
• Identify/register schedule and scope interfaces / interfacing risks
• Define matrix of responsibilities in TR to suppliers, to formally define scope boundaries
Execution phase (For Large Project dedicated interface Engg. may be required for Const and Equipment Eng.) :
Construction/Equipment Interface
• Define matrix of responsibilities in TR to suppliers, to formally define construction/Equipment scope boundaries
• Prepare and maintain construction/Equipment interface register
• Liaise w/ planning to identify critical activities/deliverables construction/Equipment interfaces (including links in Primavera WBS)
• Responsible for providing inputs to support the Management of Change (MOC* related to Interface impact
assessment).
Equipment Interface
• Free Issued Items interfaces with Package Fabricator Vendors.
Construction Interface
• Interfaces between ISO IFC issuance/Bulk Piping material delivery / Site construction work fronts
Sale/Tender Phase :
• Interface Register
• Interface definition in Client Contract, Vendors RFQ
• Interface Risk (cost / schedule) Register

Prior Experience/Expertise Required
Experience :
• 10 years experience in Production Facilities Project
• 5 years Experience in Project Interface Management (ideally in Production Facility Project)
• Experience in Project Planning

• Understanding P&ID, SLD, Instrument Loops
• Able to read GA drawings
• 3D Models navigation
• Primavera
• Baselining and S-curve reporting.
