Piping Supervisor

Supervise and oversee all piping activities at oil & gas field sites to ensure that fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning work are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Job title: Piping Supervisor

Location: Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield

Reports To:

Construction Manager / Piping Lead

Job Objective:

Supervise and oversee all piping activities at oil & gas field sites to ensure that fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning work are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise piping crews during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure all piping work is carried out in compliance with project drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Coordinate daily activities, allocate tasks, and monitor work progress.
  • Inspect piping installations to verify quality and adherence to standards.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling piping work to meet project timelines and milestones.
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational issues during execution.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Promote and enforce adherence to HSE policies and procedures, fostering a strong safety culture on site.
  • Maintain daily progress reports and relevant documentation.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to piping foremen and workers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping construction and installation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive experience in oil & gas field projects.
  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Good understanding of welding, hydro testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
