Job Description:
The Operation Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations within the container terminal yard and vessels, ensuring the safe, efficient, and organized movement of containers. This role requires specialized expertise in supervising container handling operations to and from vessels, overseeing transportation, storage, and loading processes, and ensuring smooth coordination across terminal activities. Given that our operations involve handling incoming containers from the sea and managing their storage within the facility, it is essential that the supervisor possesses comprehensive experience in vessel operations and container management.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations in the container terminal, including container movement, yard activities, and equipment utilization.

• Supervise and oversee the processes of container handling to and from vessels, ensuring proper transportation, storage, and loading operations.

• Maintain accurate daily attendance records for all yard employees and report absences to the planning team.

• Oversee the work of CHE (container handling equipment) operators and labor staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to procedures.

• Coordinate closely with planners regarding resource needs, scheduling, and operational priorities.

• Ensure all safety regulations and terminal operational standards are strictly followed.

• Coordinate with the maintenance department regarding equipment requirements, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.

• Ensure effective execution of operational plans to maintain the highest level of performance, productivity, and yard efficiency.

• Provide guidance and leadership to ensure smooth terminal operations aligned with vessel schedules and container flow requirements.
