Mechanical Supervisor

Supervise and oversee all mechanical activities at oil & gas fields to ensure that installation, maintenance, and commissioning work are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Job title: Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield

Reports To:

Mechanical Lead / Construction Manager

Job Objective:

Supervise and oversee all mechanical activities at oil & gas fields to ensure that installation, maintenance, and commissioning work are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise mechanical teams during installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities on site.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate daily activities and allocate tasks to mechanical crews.
  • Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling mechanical activities to meet project timelines.
  • Identify and resolve any technical or operational issues encountered during execution.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Enforce adherence to HSE procedures and promote a strong safety culture on site.
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to mechanical technicians and workers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical work, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive experience in oil & gas field projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, rotating and static equipment.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC and HSE practices specific to oil & gas sites.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
