Job Objective:
Provide leadership and oversight for all mechanical activities at oil & gas fields, ensuring that installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise mechanical teams in the execution of construction, installation, and commissioning activities at oil & gas field sites.
- Plan and coordinate mechanical work to meet project schedules and milestones.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Review and approve mechanical drawings, method statements, and work procedures.
- Monitor the quality of mechanical installations and ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and HSE teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mechanical engineers and supervisors.
- Prepare and review progress reports and report regularly to senior management on project status.
- Ensure all mechanical activities are conducted safely and in compliance with HSE standards specific to oil & gas fields.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical construction and installation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience in oil & gas field projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, rotating equipment, and static equipment.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC and HSE practices relevant to oil & gas fields.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
