Job title: Deputy Commissioning Manager

Location: Anbar / Akkaz Oilfield 

Objectives

• • To support the Commissioning Manager in planning, managing, and executing all commissioning activities in line with the project timeline, safety, and quality standards.
• • Act as a deputy leader in overseeing multi-discipline commissioning teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• • Ensure commissioning deliverables are met, tracked, and reported accurately to the management.
• • Support coordination between engineering, construction, operations, and commissioning teams for smooth handover and startup.

Activities & Responsibilities

• • Assist in preparing commissioning execution plans, schedules, procedures, and manpower plans.
• • Lead and coordinate daily commissioning activities across disciplines.
• • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for commissioning support and technical guidance.
• • Review commissioning documentation such as checklists, test procedures, and method statements.
• • Monitor site commissioning progress, identify risks, and propose corrective actions.
• • Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE to ensure compliance with project standards and safety regulations.
• • Conduct and attend daily meetings, ensuring alignment between construction, operations, and commissioning goals.
• • Support the preparation and review of system handover documentation (RFIs, punch lists, redlines, etc.).
• • Provide input for startup and operational readiness planning.
• • Report status, issues, and recommendations to the Commissioning Manager and Project Management Team.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related field).
• • 10+ years of experience in commissioning with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• • Strong understanding of commissioning systems, procedures, and multi-discipline coordination.
• • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation projects is preferred.
• • Familiar with project management systems, turnover documentation, and commissioning software tools.
