Description: Purpose
The Company aspires to implement processes and systems that will position it as an oil and gas industry leader. The Records Management Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company’s Information Management (IM) function and thus the retention of corporate memory across all commissions. There’s a high degree of collaboration required with numerous stakeholders inside and outside the archiving team.
To this end the Records Management Specialist will:
• Assume the specialist role to guide and train the business when execute physical and electronic archiving.
• Maintain the physical archive and know the specific configurations for electronic archiving in SharePoint Principal Accountabilities
The Records Management Specialist will:
• Receive, register and store business records in the physical archive repository
• Configure SharePoint libraries in with Records Management procedures and instructions
• Train, educate and advocate Records Management policies and procedures to business stakeholders
• Liaise with end-users to discuss any unclear points and support
• Work with functions and departments on managing records during its life cycle Key Challenges
• Further promote and educate the network of Archiving Focal Point in the business and making sure Focal Points know their roles and responsibilities, but also how to interface with the Records Management Team
• Processing confidential information and therefore maintaining integrity as per the Company Code of Conduct Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Previous or demonstrated skills and experience in documents and records management or other Administrative roles
• Knowledge of Records Management and Archiving principles and methods
• Language: High level to fluent English language skills (written and oral). Fluent Arabic language (oral and written).
• Can use Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. SharePoint skills are highly preferred
• Effective interpersonal skills with capability to influence and deliver through others
• Should be able to learn quickly and pro-actively search for solutions and apply proper diligence

• Physically able to move archived boxes of paper records
