Position description – Purpose
Responsible for providing HSSE support and drive good performance at both the company and
Facilitating a work environment across the company operating assets that supports a safe and healthy culture
Support the implementation of risk controls related to workplace HSE
Drive compliance with local HSSE regulations and the standards adopted by company (e.g. the Group HSSE control framework, other International standards & best practices).
Implement risk controls for managing HSSE performance through work procedures.
Position description - Accountabilities/Representative Duties
Identifying best practices and leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices across operating assets
Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as local procedures, safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
Responsible to ensure safety audits, safety equipment and facilities inspection are performed to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
Accountable for keeping records of inspections findings, producing reports that suggest improvements and execution of the improvement plans
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, disseminate learnings to the company organization, and manage return-to-work activities.
Keep records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers
Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development.
Order and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment.
Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
Responsible to ensure the correct safety tools are used when performing risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, JHA)
Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
Leading in-house meetings with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
Responsible to ensure roll out of the site Operations HSE case
