Position description - Purpose
Purpose
Deliver procurement activities required to support the company operations and ensure maximum value.
Coach and support less experienced peers in relation to core Procurement competencies and practices
Compile team operational and KPI reporting / dashboards
Assume the role of SAP Procurement super user, supporting team members with activities in SAP
Position description - Accountabilities
Accountabilities
• Execute the procurement process from receipt of materials requisition to delivery of materials and invoice, including but not limited to the following activities:
- Prioritise material requests based on business criticality
- Clarify scope with requestors where required
- Write strategy papers in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Compile and send out Requests For Quotation
- Evaluate bids in conjunction with key stakeholders
- Write award papers in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Create and send purchase orders
- Follow up with suppliers and company freight forwarder to resolve issues and ensure material timely delivery
- Support resolution of invoicing or delivery issues with the supplier
• Coach and support less experienced peers in relation to core Procurement competencies and practices
• Assume the role of SAP Procurement super user, supporting team members with activities in SAP
• Compile team weekly operational reporting and monthly KPI reporting/dashboard and ensure fit for purpose
• Support company Cost Savings Initiative by:
- Working in conjunction with the business to reduce costs through focusing on specification and demand management
- Ensuring fit-for-purpose negotiation approach / plans and in place and executed where applicable
• Ensure required company HSSE standards and governance are embedded in all purchases
• Ensure company local content requirements and provisions are considered on each purchase
• Ensure purchases are made in accordance with approved contracting strategies and material supply agreements are utilized
• Drive and/or implement Procurement related integration activities as required

Qualifications required
Experience and Qualifications required
• Extensive experience in a professional material buying role and demonstrable knowledge of Maintenance, Repair and Operations type materials.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and on several tasks concurrently
• Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience using SAP MM for transactional procurement and reporting
• Advanced knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Excel (e.g. ability to create and maintain pivot tables, V-Lookup, Charts)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
• Coaching experience
• Knowledge and experience working in the Oil and Gas sector would be an advantage
• Engineering or Business related degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills, Excellent command of English language, and Arabic is essential
• Demonstrable experience in operating successfully with different cultures and managing external stakeholders with different background, culture and sometimes different drivers.
