Subsurface data analyst is a discipline in Petroleum Engineering Department. The main job purpose is to give full data analyst support for the department disciplines (G&G, WRFM, ...etc.) by beingresponsible for managing essential technical and scientific information and data used

Job Description:

Job title : Subsurface data analyst

Reports to : XX TL

Work Schedule : 14/14(LN)

Department : PE Department

Duties and responsibilities : 

As the Technical Data Management Analyst, you should be able to apply Technical Data Management principles to support studies in Exploration and Field Development in the following specialty areas:

•Geochemistry -Data derived from geochemical samples, and metadata. Rock physics data and metadata.

•Petrophysical Data -Core data, geomechanics data, and petrophysical analysis.

•Support day-to-day operations of data management solutions and services for the specialist geology disciplines.

•Increase demand for data management support in new areas such as but not limited to Rock Physics, Petrology, Production Chemistry.


Qualifications :

1.Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or Engineering from an accredited and recognized university.

2.Minimum 1.5 years’ experience with an operator with in-depth technical knowledge and capability in Geology studies.

3.Experience in wells drilling.

4.Knowledge in Petrel.

5.Knowledge in CDS applications.

6.Knowledge in EDM applications.

7.Good Computer Skills such as windows and office applications 


Experience :

1.Previously working in a multi-cultural and multi-nationalities team.Language proficiency, computer and software skills1.Must be able to speak fluent English. Arabic is an advantage.

2.ProSourcesoftware is requested;

3.Experience in other petroleum engineering standard software is an advantage.

3.Strong leadership skills, ability to delegate, and work with minimum supervision

4.Must have a HSSE driven mindset

5.Self-starter and proactive ‘go getter’ with good teamwork.

6.Be sufficiently flexible to work outside the normal boundaries and to integrate quickly into the oil fieldproject. Ability to work well under tight schedule.

7.Oil and gas wells operation, design and integrity monitoring. Wells management from conceptual and construction until abandonment.

8.The ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds will be essential. The position will involve working with government or partner representatives.

9.Ability to quickly determine the optimal production solution, with often conflicting or missing data or information.

10.Good diagnostic skills are required to troubleshoot problems.
