HSE Technician

Primary objective is to contribute to the company’s success by ensuring that all phases of Constructionworks, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Mechanical and piping execution work being done effectively and with minimal hassles. Inorderto do this, I will see to it that health, safety and environment standards are met and the activities are following companyHSE procedures, international codes, standards and good engineering practices. Well organized and self-motivated in performing indispensable duties such as regular assessment of construction work for safety, health and environment, intervention toHSEproblems,avoid the accident,achieve the goal of zero accident. Good team player and use own initiative to achieve company HSE objectives.HSE technicianfor construction activities is required to coaching, monitor, supervisingand follow up day to day activities on site as HSE procedures. In case of anyHSE issues, it shall be immediately reported to construction HSE lead and Project manager in order to close out as per HSEProcedures.

Job Description:

Position title : HSE Technician

Position status  : LN

Position reports to : Construction HSE Lead

Department : Projects

Rotation pattern : 14/14

Duties and Responsibilities (will Include but are not limited to)

  • Ensures that all activities are carried out according to laws and regulations, policies and procedures of the company
  • Contribute to promote the Company HSE philosophy to all parties involved in the Project
  • General support to the construction HSE lead both in the field and in the office.
  • General Support to the project team in the field and in the office
  • Coaching, supervising of the construction activities and intervene non compliance
  • Assist investigating/recording incidents, accidents.
  • Assist identifying potential hazards at construction site
  • Carry out TBT at construction site
  • Review JHA
  • Ensuring that construction equipment are used correctly/safely

Qualification & Training requirements

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a health, safety, or environmental field of study
  • Computer literate – in particular MS Office.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • Personnel Management Skills
  • Initiative.

Experience 

  • Total Experience: 3 years of working in HSE with minimum of 1 years in Oil & Gas projects

Language Proficiency, Computer and Software Skills

  • MS Office: Excel, Word and Power point – Advanced
  • English – Excellent (Spoken & Written)
