Competency System Administrator

The Competency System Administrator will work closely with the Training & Development team to support the operation and enhancement of the Competency Management System (CMS) specifically focused on the IT application side for the Oilfield. This role primarily involves technical support for the CMS IT application, ensuring its functionality aligns with the operational needs of the CMS.

 Duties and responsibilities ::

•    Assist  in  the  operational  maintenance  and  troubleshooting  of  the  CMS  IT application,   ensuring   it   meets   the   requirements   of   the   Competency Management System.

•    Work  under  the  guidance  of  the  Competency  System  Manager  to  ensure  the CMS IT application’s effectiveness and efficiency.

•    Collaborate  with  internal  teams  to  support  competency  mapping  activities, focusing  on  the  technical  aspects  and  data  management  within  the  CMS  IT application.

•    Support  the  development  and  implementation  of  assessment  methodologies and templates through the CMS IT application.

•    Facilitate  training  sessions  for  internal  users  on  navigating  and  utilizing  the CMS IT application effectively.

•    Assist  in  integrating  the  CMS  IT  system  with  other  platforms  such  as  Online Learning Platforms (OLP) and support in content management.

•    Participate in the regular update and maintenance of job competency profiles and development plans within the CMS IT application.

•    Handle  administrative  tasks  related  to  the  CMS,  including  managing  digital records of timesheets, invoices, and tender documentation.

Qualification & Training requirements ::

•    Bachelor’s or College degree preferably in a related field

•    Effective communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams.

Experience ::

•    At  least  1  year  of  experience  in  an  IT  support  role,  with  a  preference  for candidates  who  have  worked  on  educational  or  competency  management systems.

•    Exposure to the oil and gas sector is advantageous but not required.

Language proficiency, computer and software skills ::

Excel – Advanced 

Word – Advanced

PowerPoint – (Intermediate)

English (Upper-Intermediate)


•    Basic understanding of training methodologies.

•    Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.

•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

•    Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
